NC Border Protests

NC Border Protests

The freedom fighters helping to protest the NC helmet statute at the Bikers NOT Welcome to North Carolina sign is a fun-loving group from ABATE of South Carolina. They rode lidless into NC in protest, but didn't spend one tourist dollar, then rode back to their biker-friendly state. NC is potentially missing out on millions of tourist dollars every year! Is it true that SC bikers love freedom more than NC bikers? NO! It's just that they didn't give up, and they went to their statehouse in great numbers, and got a repeal in 1987. They continue to get hundreds of bikers to their statehouse to protect their freedoms and rights every year. Their legislators listen to them.

Hey NC Bikers! If you love freedom and want to repeal the helmet laws, please support biker rights. Attend protest rallies and freedom rides and have fun doing it. Get involved and take back your rights. Call your elected legislators in the House and Senate and ask them to repeal the helmet statute. It's crazy to continue to re-elect those who force you to wear a device on your head.

Note: Due to some weirdo motorists on the highways,
and you know there are lots of them
it is always best to go helmet law border protesting with a few friends.
Always be sure to get yourself and bikes off the asphalt or a trooper might stop and remind you. Also, remember that motorists are often foolish rubberneckers, so if the border sign is not in a good area, find another one. We’re not doing this to get harassed, we’re not disturbing the peace, and we’re not doing this in defiance of law enforcement. As Richard Quigley always said, “There is nothing better than a good cop. There is nothing worse than a bad cop.”
