You pay your own way, but the Magic Bus Spring Ride is FREE! 4/28/2007 (No rain date) North Raleigh NC scenic route to Fayetteville NC All bikes welcome. Even though it is spring, the Magic Bus Spring Ride is a snowball ride, because other riders along the route can join. Ride starts at Sheetz gas station (next to Matison Motor Sports) on Capital Blvd (Rte 1), North Raleigh at 9:30am, and heads to Wake County Custom Cycles, South Saunders Street, Raleigh (WCCC is near Ray Price H-D). Arrival about 10:00am. If it’s after 10am, we do not wait, so don’t be late. From Saunders Street, the route is very scenic past Lake Wheeler, then turns right onto Hwy 401, going through Fuquay Varina. Expect about 10:20am. Gas stop, (brunch stop at that little place in the plaza on the left that serves breakfast all day - will post the name of it), and lunch is up to the riders), then on to Lillington. Should be riding through Lillington between 10:40 and 11:30, depending on whether we stopped to eat. After the Lillington downtown area, we take a right onto Hwy 210, through the countryside into Spring Lake, between 11:50 and 12noon, then take Bragg Blvd through Fort Bragg into Fayetteville, ending at Legends Pub shortly after noon. In order to avoid any litigation, since this is just a ride for FUN, we are not signing waivers, so this ride is not sponsored by anyone, including Bikers USA, Wake County Custom Cycles, Legends Pub, or any stops along the way. All stops for more riders will be very brief so we can plan to be in Fayetteville some time after noon. Once we are in Fayetteville, we can attend the Gypsy Women Spring Fling.
This plan is just the one-way ride south. Some people, such as the ride leaders, will be staying the night and riding back the next day, (most likely late afternoon). If you stay overnight, there will be more activities at Legends Pub on Sunday, so we can meet up there. As the ride gets closer, check back here for recommendations about hotels, breakfast spots in Fayetteville / Spring Lake, and, of course, Fayetteville tatoo parlors. Others might be heading back north Saturday. It’s up to you. It’s fairly difficult to get lost, but if you want someone to ride north with you, just talk amongst yourselves. No registration, no sign-ups, no sponsors, no money, no lawsuits, no rain date. No unsafe riding, and no attitudes please. Ride at your own risk - your motorcycle can only be controlled by you. In the event of rain, the ride is cancelled, with no rain date. |
